I think most of the people who read this blog are my friends, who know my real name anyway, so I’m not sure if doing this really matters. For some reason, though, I decided yesterday that it’s time for me to give up my handle, Psychicquill, and start using my real name for this blog.

So, goodbye, hard-to-pronounce and harder-to-explain pen name, and hello, Eleanor Croy. I’ll be switching my Goodreads account and Gravatar, as well.

Why did I start using a handle for this blog instead of my real name, to begin with? Well . . .

My messy writing. I dare you to read any of that.

My messy writing. I dare you to read any of that.

I was afraid my blog would suck.  Or, rather, that my writing would suck.  And maybe it does!  I’m a poor judge of my own work.  But, really, who cares if my writing sucks? I write — I blog — for fun.  And because if I don’t, my brain gets itchy.   So if my blogging sucks, so what. I’m not afraid of it any more.  I do it to DO IT, not to be awesome. (I’m awesome anyway.)

Being Awesome. It can be hard work.
