So my little Geeklet girl gets up in the middle of the night to change her clothes. She’s a bit of a fashion plate. Or maybe I should say “clothes horse.” Well, she just likes clothes. Any clothes, all clothes . . . a lot. I’ll leave it at that.
Actually, I can’t leave it at that. This clothing obsession of hers has been getting to me.
Did I mention she gets up in the middle of the night to change her clothes? Yes. In the middle of the night. And that’s after a day full of trying on everything in her dresser and closet — multiple times on some days — and seeing how many different outfits she can come up with. The result of which is 1) every stitch of clothing she owns winds up strewn all over her bedroom, and 2) Yours Truly has to fold it all and put it away, since Geeklet Girl’s concept of folding is rudimentary at best (crumple up in ball, stuff in bottom of closet or under bed). This is frustrating.
I must say, though, that her fashion choices are amusing. I’m always wondering what she’ll come up with next. Most recently, even though it’s January, she’s been wearing sundresses every day. A couple weeks ago, during sweater weather, she insisted on wearing a poofy purple hooded overcoat around the house.
Other days she’ll want to wear nothing but tights and a T-shirt. So her idea of what’s appropriate and what’s not isn’t quite there yet . . . we’re working on that.
